Not gonna lie - certain things about this game get to me. Sometimes to the point i want to put up the camera. It always seems that whenever that happens or i get the urge to hang it up, something good happens. in this instance it was my latest shoot with Rachel. She was in town from DC and one of my associates suggested we get together so we did. It was just one of those shoots where my subject was so cool and and so talented that it didn't even feel like work. And obv the end product was something that reminded me why i love this art. Thanks Rachel:)

Taylor caught my eye over social media because I loved her unique look. We linked up for a quick test shoot and we got a bunch of great simple looks in. I had to use all natural light die to the circumstances and with the result I'm happy I did. We will definitely be working together again, and look for more from this shoot coming soon.

Continuing my motion journey with this super quick video I shot on my roof with Victoria at golden hour downtown. I Gotta say the more i do it the more i am falling in love with video. Had no idea wtf I was doing but i really believe my photography eye helped me with this and the really I have to say I am really happy with it for being my first video. Looking froward to learning more.

Happy Monday. Funny these were supposed to drop Valentines Day but I didn't even think about it. That's how you know you're too busy. Anyhow here are some snaps of Naila that I took during our first set. These were super simple and I dug the candid vibe we had. You can see by the rose theme that Vday was the intended purpose but oh well.

One of my resolutions this year was to shoot more film. I needed to be a little more calculated with it, so I got myself a Canon 1N which I love because it's essentially like shooting with my 5D. I am still experimenting with film stocks and I am also experimenting with doing everything I might do in a studio as far as lighting but using film. The first of these sets is this great one I did with Devyn. Some of these are natural light but some are completely studio lighting but I hooked up my 1N to the strobes and fired away. Film was Fuji Superia 400. Definitely happy with the outcome and will be doing this more often.
